MORE ABOUT ME

Filmmaking has become a natural part of who I am. I write, direct, shoot, and edit to tell my story, and other people's stories, whether it be a business venture or a typical narrative. Exploring and  finding the form that best suits each individual project is what inspires me to create.

My film career started when my two short narratives, Don't Look Behind You, and Latent Powers, were featured on HBO Family. A couple years later, I was involved with two independent feature films that received recognition in the film festival circuit. Foot Fist Way went to Sundance in 2006. Quiet City premiered at SXSW in 2007. At the 2008 Independent Spirit Awards, I was nominated as a writer on Quiet City in The John Cassavetes Category.

Making my first feature documentary, entitled WORDS, was a very fulfilling and challenging processI closely collaborated with the director as a writer and editor to piece together the story of a group of troubled Americans teenagers who travel to India to experience cultural awakening and self therapy. From there I directed a short feature which I also wrote called So Long Later. This film tells a simple and tonal story about two young girls from a small town who are desperately trying to figure out their next step.

I moved to Los Angeles in 2010 to pursue editing further. I worked on multiple reality shows including Jersey Shore : Season 2 Miami, Momster of the Bride, and Secret Millionaire . After experiencing reality television on a large scale, I decided to take a step back and consider what I wanted creatively for myself. This led me to Nashville.

Here in Nashville I have been able to collaborate with so many artists and businesses. I find myself more able to create intimate and meaningful work, which was something that was missing for me in the reality industry. I've worked with local artists such as McKenzies Mill, Nicole Boggs, Brad Cole, and Nicole Scott. I've created web commercials for businesses like Walkio, Ole, Roper Apparel, Nashville Chamber of Commerce, BrandSpins, and Music City Boxing.

I love collaborating on ideas. If you have a vision for your business, music video, EPK, narrative, documentary, or other, please reach out to me to discuss your ideas in detail. I look forward to creating something that captures what is specific to you and your project!
